İlkadım Belediye Meclisi’nin olağanüstü bir araya geldiği toplantıda, Fransa’nın Ermeni iddiaları reddinin suç sayılmasını öngören yasa teklifini kabul etmesine tepki gösterildi. 1915 olaylarıyla ilgili Ermeni iddialarına yönelik tasarının, Fransa Meclisi Genel Kurulu'nda kabul edilmesinin Fransa’nın tarihi hatası olduğunu dile getiren MHPli Meclis Başkanı İsmail Sevindik, ” Ermeni Soykırım yasa tasarısını belediye meclisimizin bütün parti grupları olarak şiddetle kınamaktayız. Fransızlar, ülkemizin tarihi değerleri üzerinde farklı senaryolar oynamaktalar. Fransa meclisinin Türkiye’ye yönelik düşmani hareketlerini açıkça görebiliyoruz. Bu nedenle Fransa’yı kınıyoruz. Vatandaşlarımızı da Fransız ürünlerini boykot etmeye çağırıyoruz.”dedi.
