Yeni Doğan Mahallesi Şehit Polis Süleyman Selçuk Sokak no: 26’da bulunan yüzde 15 eğimli 3 katlı bina vatandaşların korku dolu anlar yaşamasına neden oldu. Tehlike arz ettiği için Yeni Doğan Mahallesi sakinleri tarafından İlkadım Belediyesi Yapı Kontrol Müdürlüğü’ne şikayet edilen eğimli bina için yıkım işlemleri başlatıldı. Yıkımı, belediyeye ait inşaat kontrol ekibi kontrolünde sürdürülen 3 katlı bina tamamen boşaltılarak herhangi bir tehlikeye karşı branda ile kapatıldı. İki bina arasında eğimli bir durumda bulunan evin doğal afet anında veya başka bir sebeple yerle bir olmasından korktuklarını söyleyen mahalleliler, bu gerekçe ile İlkadım Belediyesi’ne şikayet dilekçesi gönderdiklerini belirttiler.
